PIRANHA 3D [2010] - August 27, 2010

From director Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) comes the new action thriller PIRANHA. Every year the population of sleepy Lake Victoria explodes from 5,000 to 50,000 for Spring Break, a riot of sun and drunken fun. But this year, there's something more to worry about than hangovers and complaints from local old timers; A new type of terror is about to be cut loose on Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area’s new razor-toothed residents. The films stars Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl), Steve McQueen (The Vampire Diaries), Elisabeth Shue, Jerry O’Connell, Ving Rhames, Adam Scott, Richard Dreyfuss and Christopher Lloyd.

I love the pink bloody water! Since so many films are now looking toward 3D, I hope they are going to make 3D better than I recall from past experiences. I also hope they will develop technology that does not require wearing glasses. I always worry when I know a film was developed with 3D in mind that half the time the filmmakers are thinking of ways to have things jump out of the screen at you rather than just good storyline and filmmaking. What are your thoughts 2VS8?

well i refer back to the matrix or the power of the matrix. we watched as the technical side of movie making changes to movie history. this is a problem, cause all hollywood did was steal it... i remember watching one of the shrek movies and seeing it... it burned itself out, but quick. now onto 3-d... why such a big demand, i hate it, it makes me dizzy. and if i have to pay more to see it, this discourages me to just wait for the dvd and watch without 3-d interruptions... this too will fizzle, we are smart and will refuse to waste time and money.. as for the glasses, i all ready see things in 3-d in real life... so... maybe contacts 3-d glass.
