Random Media: Blood Child... is Here on Family Day!

Following a year on the international film festival circuit, Blood Child is headed back to the States with a national Cable and Digital HD release on September 11th.  Blood Child will be available on all major platforms, including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, inDemand, Dish and more.

Writer-director Jennifer Phillips makes her film debut with Blood Child, a horror fantasy that combines every parent's worst nightmare with the Malay myth of the Toyol, ghost children raised by black magic, devastating all involved.  Blood Child world premiered at Toronto's Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival, where lead actress Alyx Melone took home the Rising Star Award.

After suffering a devastating miscarriage in Singapore, Ashley turns to a witch doctor to help her with the occult practice of raising a "ghost child" and finding the spirit of her lost child.  After returning to the States, Ashley and her husband Bill find themselves pregnant again. However, their happiness is short lived as the pregnancy acts as a catalyst for a series of terrifying events that start to occur within their home. The family soon learns that Ashley has brought back a lot more than just memories from Asia.  The spirit of their lost child is not about to play second fiddle to the impending new arrival, and unleashes an unspeakable evil upon the household.

Random Media: "BLUE WORLD ORDER"

Random Media brings humankind to the edge of ruin in Blue World Order.  Starring Billy Zane (Titanic, The Phantom), Jake Ryan ("Home and Away", The Great Gatsby) and Stephen Hunter (Peter Jackson's The Hobbit trilogy), Blue World Order will premiere nationwide January 16th on Cable and Digital VOD, including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, inDemand, Dish and more. 

Blue World Order is the first feature from writer-directors Che Baker and Dallas Bland.  The duo collected the awards for Best Film at the Canberra International Film Festival and the LA Invasion Film Festival amid screenings around the world.  Bruce Spence (Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Matrix Revolutions), Jack Thompson (The Man from Snowy River, Around the Block) and newcomer Billie Rutherford round out the cast of survivors in search of a new beginning after nuclear war and a deadly plague have pushed humankind to the edge.

After a nuclear war decimated the Northern Hemisphere, the surviving population was infected with a deadly bacterium. In an attempt to rebuild civilization, a self-appointed government called The Order distributed an immunization to the bacteria, which inadvertently killed all the children. Only one man, Jake Slater, remained immune. The only child that survived is his daughter, Molly. Now, Jake scavenges the wasteland searching for a way to keep her alive, unaware that she is the key to the survival of humankind.

Random Media: "HOUSE BY THE LAKE" [DVD]

Random Media turns a picturesque retreat into a destination of terror in House by the Lake.  Starring James Callis ("Battlestar Galactica", the Bridget Jones series), Anne Dudek ("Covert Affairs", "Big Love") and Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes, Lights Out) as a family on the edge, House by the Lake will debut nationwide on Cable VOD, Digital HD and DVD on October 10th. 

House by the Lake is the latest stint in the director's chair by veteran genre scribe Adam Gierasch (Night of the Demons, Tales of Halloween, Fractured, Autopsy), with a script by newcomer Josh Burnell.  Natasha Bassett (Hail Caesar!) and Michael Bowen ("Lost", "Breaking Bad") round out the main cast as the family's nanny and the unsettling man down the beach, respectively.

A struggling couple, Scott and Karen, pack up their troubled young daughter and head to a picturesque lake house to reconnect and put their problems behind them.  As Emma spends time with her new nanny, the little girl begins fixating on an imaginary friend she calls the Fish Man.  Karen's fear of the strange man down the beach, Emma's fear of the water and her recurring sleepwalking continue to raise tensions in the house and drive a wedge between Scott and Karen until one night Emma disappears. When she's found breathing underwater in the tub, Emma insists she's been with the Fish Man.  And he's coming back for her.
