Damned Pilots - Overgalaxy

Damned Pilots - Overgalaxy: Prod. by Ron Goudie (Gwar, Death Angel, Poison) and mixed/mastered by producer Bill Metoyer (W.A.S.P., Trouble, Slayer)

Overgalaxy is a steam punk concept album. As drummer/founder Don Nutz says,"It's built on the story of four cartoon characters, Don Nutz, Sgt Ote, Willer Hertz and Erik Space ...aka The Damned Pilots. They travel through space in the year 2500 A.C. on a 1970's hippy van customized to fight against their archenemy Gorguss and his evil empire." The lyrics, written by Sgt Ote, are about love and hate, war and peace, past and future, rebellions against failed systems, all imbued with the sensibilities and humor of classic sci-fi b-movies.

Overgalaxy includes nine songs written by Don Nutz and Sgt Ote and one by Ron Goudie (Hell Is Cold). Their style varies from mid tempo groovy metal to doom metal plus psychedelics ballads all strung together by catchy melodies.

Damned Pilots and Season Of The Endings are two groovy metal pounding numbers dominated by huge solid riffs made to bang your head to. Desert Europa is a deep slow doom-laden song with black metal influences characterized by a soulful raspy metal vocal. Just Another Day and People Don't Die are both spaced out ballads. Gorguss is a catchy doom pop song with monolithic riffs and memorable cosmic melodies. Hell is Cold is the electric first single from the album written by producer Ron Goudie. Sylvanic is a song about a Bigfoot from another planet, it's a powerful crossover between classic rock and 90's metal. Finally, Mos is a pure noise drone written together with Mos DJ.

The album was recorded at Track Terminal Studio in Trieste, Italy by Francesco Bardy, except Just Another Day and People Don't Die which were recorded at Voodoosound Studios in Ijmuiden, Holland by Paul van Rijswijk. Overgalaxy is produced by Ron Goudie (Gwar, Death Angel, Poison) and mixed and mastered by legendary producer Bill Metoyer (W.A.S.P., Trouble, Slayer). The artwork has been made by Philippine graphic designer Uzi Emperado.

Damned Pilots are influenced by Kiss, Monster Magnet, Trouble, Beatles, Mayhem, Turbonegro, Voivod, Ghost, Devil's Blood, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd & ELO.

Damned Pilots are:
Vocals/Guitar - SGT OTE | Guitar - Willer Hertz | Drums - Don Nutz | Bass - EriK Space

Beoga "Before We Change Our Mind"

Ed Sheeran has disclosed that Irish band Beoga lived and jammed with him while working on his upcoming third album. Whilst working with the global superstar, the band were also finalizing the mix of their own 5th studio album, Before We Change Our Mind. The album, just released last Friday (3/10) is the US, has already been showered with critical acclaim in the UK.

Speaking last night on BBC Radio1, Sheeran announced "They're called Beoga.........when I was hanging out with these guys I realised ...folk music is in all of us". Speaking of the collaboration he said "I've always wanted to do this but I've never really known a really good folk band....They're Foy Vance's mates from Northern Ireland and they came and stayed at my house.... It's amazing having musicians of that calibre living in your house" "They're always playing music and they always want to have a jam and sit round and drink Bushmills whiskey, and fiddle, it's really special ..... they're really good"

Limerick fiddle player and vocalist Niamh Dunne says "We did two songs with Ed but I can't tell you anymore! I'm sworn to secrecy! We jammed on one song and we co-wrote another which was amazing. The whole thing came together very naturally. I'd say the songs could be described as folky."

According to Bodhrán player Eamon Murray the opportunity to record came about quite organically "Our pal and fellow Northerner, Foy Vance is on Ed Sheeran's record label and they'd  been listening to a couple of our tracks on tour. When it came to making a new album, Ed himself reached out and asked if we'd like to be involved, and we said aye!"

The Antrim-based five piece, who have played shows all over the world, joined Sheeran at his recording studios in Suffolk last June to record two tracks, one about Galway and one about Wexford, where Ed has strong family roots. "We went over and the weather was gorgeous and we just had a great time," said Niamh. "We had a few beers and just hung out and it was just very relaxed. When we first met Ed, it was `oh my god!' because he's so recognizable but after that, it was just like getting to know a fellow musician really. He was great craic."

Sheeran is already well-known for his love of Irish trad and folk. He has said that one of his earliest musical memories is listening to the Irish Heartbeat album by Van Morrison and The Chieftains and he is also a fan of The Bothy Band and Planxty. Frontman Eamon Murray is also keeping schtum
about the release date of Sheeran's new record and downplayed the fact that Beoga are about to be a big part of what is sure to be a number one album across the world.  "We just feel massively privileged to have a break like this. We've always made a living from music so who knows where this will take us." he said.

Co-hosting the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Friday last, Sheeran described the album as "schizophrenic" with "lots of different sounds" and confirmed to host Scott Mills that an Irish folk group feature on the record. "They're called Beoga," said Sheeran. "They're from Northern Ireland; they are really, really talented. They came to my house to stay and we made some songs. Two of them have made the record. It's jammy, it's folky." In a recent interview he said, "I've actually got a song on the new album which I think is really gonna explode in Ireland. It would be something to do with county Galway."

The bedrock of the Beoga sound lies firmly within the Irish tradition. However, they are not afraid to incorporate other genres' nuances into their music. From bluesy riffs to Astor Piazzola style jazz, to a raunchy New Orleans jamboree vibe, their music always returns to a wonderfully bouncy Irish sound.

MASTERWORKS BROADWAY & BROADWAY RECORDS RELEASE: "GROUNDHOG DAY THE MUSICAL" – ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST RECORDING

Masterworks Broadway and Broadway Records proudly announce the release of Groundhog Day The Musical - Original Broadway Cast Recording. Produced by Chris Nightingale, Tim Minchin, and Michael Croiter, the album is available now digitally and on CD, May 12.

The Broadway premiere of Groundhog Day, the Olivier Award-winning new musical featuring music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and a book by Danny Rubin, and directed by Matthew Warchus, is now playing at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street), after opening earlier this week to rave reviews.

Meet Phil Connors (Andy Karl), a disgruntled big-city weatherman mysteriously stuck in small-town America reliving the same day over and over and over again—with no consequences, no regrets, no tomorrows, and no hangovers. But once he starts getting to know associate TV producer Rita Hanson (Barrett Doss), he discovers it’s a day of second, third and fourth chances.

Based on the iconic film, Groundhog Day is re-imagined by the award-winning creators of the international hit Matilda The Musical—including director Matthew Warchus and songwriter Tim Minchin—with a book by original screenwriter Danny Rubin. Starring Olivier Award winner and two-time Tony Award® nominee Andy Karl, Groundhog Day is the new musical comedy about living life to the fullest, one day at a time. Olive Films: "Blanche" [1971]

Olive Films: "Blanche" [1971] - Set in medieval France, an elderly noble baron (Michel Simon, L’Atalante) and his much younger bride, the beautiful Blanche (Ligia Branice, Goto, Isle of Love) welcome a visiting King (George Wilson, Les destinées) and his handsome page, Bartolomeo (Jacques Perrin, Cinema Paradiso) to their castle, and sets in motion accusations of disloyalty and marital infidelity, turning what should be a fairy-tale into a nightmare.

Walerian Borowczyk (The Beast), whose stylized vision of a bygone world, is key to the overall look and feel of Blanche, which despite its period surroundings, embraces very modern sensibilities.

Blanche, written and directed by Walerian Borowczyk (based on the poem Mazepa by Juliusz Slowacki), features performances by Jacques Perrin (Cinema Paradiso), Denise Péronne (Forbidden Games) and Lawrence Trimble (Meetings in the Forest).

Olive Films: "Theatre of Mr. & Mrs. Kabal" [1967]

Olive Films: "Theatre of Mr. & Mrs. Kabal" [1967] - Walerian Borowczyk’s (Blanche) Theatre of Mr. & Mrs. Kabal is a glimpse inside the weird and wonderful world of the theatrical Kabals. The henpecked Mr. Kabal, prone to ogling young females through his binoculars, is never quite beyond the reach of the statuesque and domineering Mrs. Kabal who flutters about (quite literally when butterflies appear inside of her stomach) in a connubial reign of terror. Although it may not always be le beau marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Kabal are nonetheless made for each other.

The years-in-the-making feature length animated film from the controversial director of Goto, Isle of Love and Immoral Tales, featuring the voice talents of Pierre Collet (Greed in the Sun) and Louisette Rousseau (War of the Buttons), is akin to other Borowczyk animated works such as The Astronauts, Renaissance and Angels’ Games.

Death Waltz Recording Co. (A division of Mondo Tees) has announced the release of THE DEVIL’S CANDY – Original Motion Picture Score via Bandcamp/iTunes/Spotify and LP in May. The original score was composed by Michael Yezerski (ONLY THE DEAD SEE THE END OF WAR, A PLACE TO CALL HOME, we don’t belong here).

There was no mistaking Yezerski’s approach for THE DEVIL’S CANDY. “Doom. Metal. Opera,” he stated. “Sean Byrne [writer/director], Jessica Calder and Keith Calder [producers] are visionaries. We had several deep discussions so I felt that my role was clear. I needed to provide a pervasive sense of claustrophobia and ambient doom inspired by the world of black metal and noise rock. The blending of tones had to be seamless.”

In THE DEVIL'S CANDY Jesse, a struggling artist, moves with his wife and daughter into their dream house in rural Texas, the price driven down by the property’s dark past. Their lives soon begin to unravel as the demonic forces lurking in the house take hold of the young family. Jesse’s paintings take a satanic turn while the family is plagued by Ray, the deranged son of the former owners. Soon it becomes clear that Jesse and Ray are both being influenced by the same dark forces and that Jesse and his family aren’t safe from its former inhabitant or indeed from the devil himself.

Milan Records: Nicolas Winding Refn The Wicked Die Young

“Since I wanted my film to be both a horror film and a melodrama with camp, glitter, and vulgarity, as well as a comedy and of course a little science fiction, all these various tracks made me able to step into a parallel world to tell the story.” - Nicolas Winding Refn

Director Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Bronson, Only God Forgives) has announced a follow up compilation inspired by last year's film The Neon Demon. Due out on vinyl on April 14th via Milan Records, the compilation features three new exclusive tracks by Electric Youth, Julian Winding (Refn's nephew, who also contributed to Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon), and Cliff Martinez (who provided the throbbing, disco-tinged score to the film), alongside selections from Suicide, Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, Giorgio Moroder, Sparks, Pino Donaggio, and others. It's a collection of music that Refn listened to while writing and shooting the film itself.

VARÈSE SARABANDE RECORDS TO RELEASE: "THEIR FINEST" Featuring Original Music Composed by Rachel Portman And A Special Performance Of “Will You Go, Lassie, Go” Sung By Bill Nighy

Varèse Sarabande will release the THEIR FINEST – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on April 7th and CD April 21, 2017. The soundtrack features the original music composed by Academy Award® Winner Rachel Portman (EMMA, CHOCOLAT) along with ‘pub classics’ performed by the actors, including Bill Nighy’s lilting rendition of “Will You Go, Lassie, Go.”

“Their Finest is set in 1940s London during the Blitz.  The music is a mixture of orchestral wistful, thematic, at times up tempo underscore with themes for Catrin, the protagonist, and for the war,” Portman described.  “One of the main features of the score is the film score for the film within the film, ‘The Nancy Starling.’  I had to create a film score of the period, which ended up being very enjoyable to write.”

With London emptied of its men now fighting at the Front, Catrin Cole (Gemma Arterton) is hired by the British Ministry of Information as a “slop” scriptwriter charged with bringing “a woman’s touch” to morale-boosting propaganda films. Her natural flair quickly gets her noticed by dashing movie producer Buckley (Sam Claflin) whose path would never have crossed hers in peacetime. As bombs are dropping all around them, Catrin, Buckley and a colorful crew work furiously to make a film that will warm the hearts of the nation. Although Catrin’s artist husband looks down on her job, she quickly discovers there is as much camaraderie, laughter and passion behind the camera as there is onscreen.

British composer Rachel Portman became the first female composer to win an Academy Award®, which she received for the score of Emma.  She was also the first female composer to win a Primetime EMMY® Award, which she received for the film, Bessie.  She has received two further Academy Nominations for The Cider House Rules and Chocolat, which also earned her a Golden Globe Nomination.

SILVA SCREEN RECORDS PRESENTS: SHERLOCK - THE ABOMINABLE BRIDE

Silva Screen Records will release The Abominable Bride soundtrack in digital format. The superbly stylish one-off feature-length episode was aired on 1st January 2016 on BBC One. Combining period drama, feminism, time travel and a fiendish crime mystery, The Abominable Bride was a perfect comeback for the highly-anticipated cult TV show.

“If David Arnold and Michael Price did not exist, it would be necessary for man to invent them. Their contribution to Sherlock is immeasurable. Thrilling, cheeky, sinister, playful and simply world-class…the music's not bad either.”
- Mark Gatiss (Sherlock creator)

Well established composer partnership, Arnold and Price work on Sherlock scores remotely, playing pieces of music down the phone. They both have favourite bits but will never reveal who did what. Price tends to be the more earnest and sentimental one whilst Arnold excels on big dramatic cues. Arnold and Price’s music for the previous series received BAFTA and Emmy nominations and won an RTS Television Award.

David Arnold is one of the UK’s leading film composers, composing scores for blockbusters including Stargate, The Chronicles of Narnia: the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Hot Fuzz, Paul, Independence Day, 2 Fast 2 Furious and Casino Royale.

Michael Price is a Emmy Award-Winning composer, music editor and arranger whose credits include Band Of Brothers, The Lord Of The Rings and Love Actually.

SILVA CLASSICS PRESENTS: DEBBIE WISEMAN - LIVE AT THE BARBICAN

As part of Barbican’s Contemporary Music Concerts series, in January 2016 The Orchestra of the Guildhall School performed in a retrospective concert of composer Debbie Wiseman’s film, TV and concert work.

The Guildhall School alumna, Award winning composer Debbie Wiseman MBE, is one of the UK’s most in-demand composers writing for film, TV and concert hall. She is currently Classic FM’s Composer in Residence, and her soundtrack to the recent BBC TV series Wolf Hall went straight to the top of the classical music charts. With this concert Debbie Wiseman makes a nostalgic return to the School to conduct the Guildhall Chamber Orchestra in a programme of her music.

Debbie Wiseman explains - “The three years I spent studying piano and composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama were very special, and I was thrilled to be invited back to conduct a concert of my music with the college’s Symphony Orchestra at their brand new concert hall in the Barbican Centre, Milton Court. I was hugely impressed - but not at all surprised - at the high standard of the orchestra. These talented first and second-year musicians, despite their youth, would not sound out of place in the professional world, such is their ability. They played with commitment, focus and infectious enthusiasm, and it was an enormous pleasure working with them all. This album is dedicated to my wonderful composition teacher at the Guildhall School, Buxton Orr.”

Lakeshore Records: "GIFTED" Soundtrack, Available Digitally... Music by Composer Rob Simonsen

Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is a single man raising a child prodigy - his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) - in a coastal town in Florida. Frank's plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the seven-year-old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank’s formidable mother Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan) whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary. Octavia Spencer plays Roberta, Frank and Mary’s landlady and best friend. Jenny Slate is Mary’s teacher, Bonnie, a young woman whose concern for her student develops into a connection with her uncle as well.

Rob Simonsen has had a thread in the fabric of some of the most noteworthy and prestigious films of the past decade. He collaborated with director Bennett Miller to underline the unsettling atmosphere of the Oscar-nominated drama Foxcatcher, and spanned an eternity of star-crossed romance with The Age of Adaline (starring Blake Lively and Harrison Ford), also co-writing the film’s end credits song. He scored the Steve Carell-starring dramedy The Way Way Back with sensitivity, sympathized with the coming-of-age The Spectacular Now, and sweetened Zach Braff’s coming-of-middle-age film Wish I Was Here. Also under his belt is the horror-comedy The Master Cleanse, Roland Emmerich’s political drama Stonewall, and the Weinstein Company’s Burnt starring Bradley Cooper, Uma Thurman and Sienna Miller. His work in television has included the Joss Whedon Fox drama Dollhouse and the CBS ratings juggernaut Blue Bloods, led by Tom Selleck.

Lakeshore Records, in conjunction with Invada Records: "FREE FIRE" original score by Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbur

Lakeshore Records, in conjunction with Invada Records, will release the FREE FIRE - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on March 31, 2017. The album features songs from The Real Kids, Creedence Clearwater Revival and two classic tracks by John Denver, plus original score by Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury (EX MACHINA, BLACK MIRROR: MEN AGAINST FIRE).

Compiled by director Ben Wheatley himself, the soundtrack features the full score by Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury, dialogue from the film and license tracks (The Real Kids – Do The Boob // Creedence Clearwater Revival – Run Through The Jungle // John Denver – Annie’s Song // John Denver – This Old Guitar).

“It was brilliant to work with Ben Wheatley, Amy Jump and the Rook Films crew again after my experience with them for High Rise,” said Barrow.  “Creating a pub prog band proved great fun for Ben Salisbury and I as it needed to represent the characters in the film that were mostly loose cannons and lunatics and we needed to try and reflect them in all their idiosyncratic glory."

"We wanted to create an old fashioned soundtrack album, where the listening experience reminds you of the fun and excitement of watching the film. So we've included on the album choice cuts of the most important aspects of Free Fire's soundtrack -‐ the amazing symphony of gunshots created by sound designer Martin Pavey, and the brilliant dialogue you hear in between the gunfire," Salisbury added.

Lakeshore Records: "MY ENTIRE HIGH SCHOOL SINKING INTO THE SEA"Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Available Digitally... Score by Composer Rani Sharone

From acclaimed graphic novelist Dash Shaw (New School) comes an audacious debut that is equal parts disaster cinema, high school comedy and blockbuster satire, told through a dream-like mixed media animation style that incorporates drawings, paintings and collage. Dash (Jason Schwartzman) and his best friend Assaf (Reggie Watts) are preparing for another year at Tides High School muckraking on behalf of their widely-distributed but little-read school newspaper, edited by their friend Verti (Maya Rudolph). But just when a blossoming relationship between Assaf and Verti threatens to destroy the boys’ friendship, Dash learns of the administration’s cover-up that puts all the students in danger. As disaster erupts and the friends race to escape through the roof of the school, they are joined by a popular know-it- all (Lena Dunham) and a lunch lady (Susan Sarandon) who is much more than meets the eye. But even as the film piles on brilliant details like a post-apocalyptic cult formed by jocks, video game homages, and an infectious synth soundtrack, it never loses sight of the characters at the heart of the story. Hailed as “the most original animated film of the year” and “John Hughes for the Adult Swim generation” (Indiewire), the film’s everyday concerns of friendships, cliques and young love remind us how the high school experience continues to shape who we become, even in the most unusual of circumstances.

Rani Sharone is a Los Angles based multi instrumentalist and composer of Film, TV, and Video Game music as well as music for the concert stage. His musical journey is as varied and unconventional as his music. In the summer of 2010 just days after his experimental rock band Stolen Babies performed on the main stage at Mera Luna, a very prominent Gothic music festival in Germany, he got on a plane heading to beautiful Sundance, Utah to participate as a fellow in the Sundance Film Composers Lab, where he was one of six composers chosen for the highly coveted spot and incredible opportunity that led to many of his current working relationships.

For her directorial debut into the medium of the moving image, Del Kathryn Barton gives audiences the short film, RED, starring Cate Blanchett, Alex Russell, Arella Plater, and the Sydney Dance Company's Charmene Yap. In a Q&A at the Art Gallery of South Australia, Barton said the essential narrative in RED “illuminates the unusual mating rituals of the Australian Red Back spider. Here, our brave little male after copulating with the monumental female gently somersaults into her mouth, offering himself as a meal post-coital. If she is not hungry she will store his bound, dying body on her web for later consumption.” Barton further explained, “This brutal chronicle spoke to me of the poetics of female power as an inherent and indeed, elemental force in the universe. By intercutting human protagonists with extraordinary macro footage, RED has evolved into what I now consider to be an uncompromising celebration of female power.”

Tom Schutzinger has worked in the film industry for over 13 years and has been a touring musician for more than two decades, Tom founded the band Decoder Ring. Tom's films include SOMERSAULT, JEWBOY, YOLK, LUCKY COUNTRY, CAUGHT INSIDE and THE PACK. POWER RANGERS are BACK!

Varèse Sarabande will release the SABAN’S POWER RANGERS – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on March 24 and on CD April 21, 2017. The soundtrack features the original music by composer Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Furious 7) and the exclusive track “Give It All” performed by With You, featuring Santigold and Vince Staples.

“The director and I discussed the musical tone of the score from the script phase of the movie,” Tyler explained. “We wanted it to be evocative, thematic, memorable, and emotional. The sonic palette remained as we planned which was a score played by orchestra, a soundscape of guitars, vintage synths, and drums.”

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.

“The Power Rangers themselves have a central theme that applies to the five of them,” said composer Brian Tyler. “I would describe the music as aspirational in that it always reaches for something just out of reach emotionally. It is not blatantly heroic, it is more of a theme of the heart.”  Tyler added, “I had watched the series back in the day and still enjoy them.  This was a cool opportunity to jump on board something that I previously knew.”

Brian Tyler is a composer and conductor of over 70 films and was named Film Composer of the Year at the 2014 Cue Awards.  Tyler composed blockbuster hits Avengers: Age of Ultron, Furious 7, Iron Man 3, as well as Thor: The Dark World, He conducted the London Philharmonic, the Philharmonia of London, and the Hollywood Studio Symphony for those films. His films have grossed $10 billion worldwide. Tyler began scoring features shortly after he received his master's degree from Harvard University, as well as a bachelor's degree from UCLA.  He is a multi-instrumentalist and plays piano, guitar, drums, bass, cello, world percussion, synth programming, guitarviol, charango, and bouzouki, amongst others.

Strawberry Days by Hanan Townshend

Ever since he started his collaborations with Terrence Malick on To The Wonder and Knight of Cups, composer Hanan Townshend has turned into one of the most in-demand composer of the art house / indie cinema scene. MovieScore Media the composer’s latest entry for a Swedish picture, Wiktor Ericsson’s Strawberry Days (in Swedish: Jordgubbslandet). The film tells the story of 15-year-old Wojtek who travels from Poland to Sweden with his parents to work on a farm picking strawberries. Even though the outside world would never accept a relationship like this, the young boy starts bonding with the farmer’s daughter as they find themselves trapped on opposite sides of a brewing conflict around the guest workers.

"Hanan was one of the composer’s whose music I was listening to as I was writing the script” says director Wiktor Ericsson. “When he came onboard we tried out several different approaches to the music, but while editing we found out that what we needed was a really simple and intimate score. We used one of the cues that Hanan composed early on as the main building block, this beautiful almost elliptical piano piece that eventually became the main love theme. To that Hanan added the sound of saw, which gave the score in parts this almost otherworldly character. The film portrays a sometimes very bleak reality, the world of the migrant workers, but the music adds a dimension to the story, a sense of wonder and magic. It gives the film this almost fairytale quality.".

Born on New Zealand-born but based in Seattle, Townshend’s music was licensed for Terrence Malick's Palme d'Or winning The Tree Of Life before the composer started with writing original music for the director’s To the Wonder and more recently, Knight of Cups. On his latest score, he explains: "The original music for Strawberry Days is a delicate, minimalist score that explores the world of young love crossing cultural norms. The instrumentation of piano and musical saw represent two very different cultural worlds colliding and their search for harmony amongst struggle and dissonance."

Another special to my ears, as this one holds ground and stays a solid release.

Albion: The Enchanted Stallion by George Kallis

The latest collaboration between MovieScore Media and composer George Kallis (Gagarin: First in Space, 93 Days) is Albion: The Enchanted Stallion, a magical fantasy co-written and directed by Castille Landon. The film follows the adventures of a twelve-year-old girl who gets transported to the mystical world of Albion with the help of a magical black stallion. Upon arrival, she discovers that she alone is the key to saving an entire race of people. The epic fantasy score features a traditional symphonic orchestra, choir and an assortment of exotic instruments which transports its listeners to the magical kingdom of Albion - and like all great film scores of the Golden Age, it has the power to do so without the visuals.

”Director Castille Landon and producer Dori Rath wanted the soundtrack to audibly transport audiences into the ancient land of Albion, therefore my job was to encapsulate this exact idea and take listeners into a mythological journey” explains the composer. “I aimed to create a magical sonic world by use of swelling orchestral themes for our leads, sinister motifs for the villains and choral arrangements and world instrumentation to capture the Albion terrane.” The enchanted fantasy score ranges from the thundering "Riding to Albion" through the Medieval tranquility of of "The River and the Palace" to the epic, choir-heavy conclusion of "Release the Barrier" - offering en exhilarating ride as if the listener has the chance to get on the back of the black stallion.

Cyprus-born George Kallis is a film & TV composer based in Los Angeles who has studied composition at Berklee College of Music and the Royal College of Music. He has composed music for over 20 films, Emmy and BAFTA award-winning TV programs, and commercial spots for top brands and film trailers. His score for A Place in the Stars, earned the composer an African Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Music in 2015. He is best-known for his scores of Highlander:The Source, Gagarin: First in Space and 93 Days, the latter two also released by MovieScore Media.

Set in Hollywood circa 1923, Won Ton Ton, The Dog Who Saved Hollywood is a light-hearted spoof that tells the tale of a multi-talented mutt who, in the tradition of Rin Tin Tin, wags his way out of the kennel and onto the silver screen thanks to Estie Del Ruth (Madeline Kahn, Paper Moon), a starlet in search of a break, and studio bus driver and would-be director, Grayson Potchuck (Bruce Dern, The Trip).
