T-65b Records: "REMNANTS" music by Austin Wintory

BAFTA-winning and Grammy-nominated composer Austin Wintory has released a new album titled REMNANTS from T-65b Records.

The album was built around rescued music from rejected demos, pitches, and canceled projects. It's a beautiful and compelling compilation of artistic expression, which tells a hopeful story of overcoming rejection in the industry.  Austin wrote about his experience in the arena and how it helped him transform his perceived failure into creative success in the article, "Star Trek: Discovery, in a parallel universe”. The overwhelming response he received from the article is what inspired him to release the album of work.

"It's so easy to perceive rejection as objectively a 'failure' but the reality is that looking back over the last 15 years there is an obvious trajectory to these opportunities,” says Austin Wintory. "These pitches started off so simple, and for such humble projects and have grown vastly more ambitious and creative. Just because every swing doesn't connect doesn't mean the act of picking up the bat is somehow wasted. I've learned and grown so much just from taking those stabs that those instances of landing the job have almost felt like a bonus."
