About Mark Snow: Brooklyn native Mark Snow has been making music since the 1950s. Following a start in the music industry as a popular recording artist with his band the New York Rock and Roll Ensemble, Mark made the switch to composer for television and film in the 1970s.

This prolific composer, best known for his scores for such television series as The X-Files, for which his iconic theme has been recorded by almost every musical genre, from pop, to country, hip-hop, heavy metal, punk, jazz to name a few. Additional series include Smallville, One Tree Hill, Kojak, Millenium, Pasadena, Starsky and Hutch, Hart to Hart and Blue Bloods. He's the only ASCAP composer to receive the "Most Performed Background Music" award every year consecutively since the inception of the award in 1985-86, through the present.  His Emmy®-nominated scores for television series and television films include Helter, Skelter, Children of the Dust, Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All and Something about Amelia. Recent film projects include the scores for the two X-Files movies, and the last four films by the iconic French director, Alain Resnais, Private Fears in Public Places, Wild Grass, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet and Life of Riley.

About "The New Mutants".. Twentieth Century Studios in association with Marvel Entertainment presents "The New Mutants," an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.
