Composer Richard Band has a long history of providing thrilling scores for horror films, many of which were presented previously on the Intrada label. One of his latest works is to Robert Weinbach's 2012 film Shiver. As Weinback states, "His lushly orchestrated music evokes intense emotional responses of pathos, suspense and terror, conveying a special style and tone to the film. It further underscores the portrayal of character traits not altogether obvious from other elements of the film." Band was Weinbach's first and only choice to score Shiver. More melodic and colorful than your usual horror music fare these days, Band has created a fresh score that should please his followers.
