Varèse Sarabande has released three deluxe edition digital albums: The Cowboys: Deluxe Edition by John Williams, Paycheck: Deluxe Edition by John Powell and Knowing: Deluxe Edition by Marco Beltrami, available today, September 17. All of these former CD Club releases (many permanently sold out) are being made available digitally for the first time. The albums will be available through streaming and download services, while lossless files are available exclusively through VareseSarabande.com in WAV, FLAC and ALAC formats.

John Williams – The Cowboys: Deluxe Edition
This John Wayne western composed by the living legend John Williams was the maestro's biggest pre-Star Wars score.  A much-needed restoration job featuring a complete rebuild, remix and remaster was done in 2018 for a now out-of-print CD. Releasing digitally for the first time, this deluxe edition expands the original 17-track program to 36 tracks—the complete 29-cue score plus 7 pieces of additional music not featured in the film.

John Powell – Paycheck: Deluxe Edition
Paycheck reunited composer John Powell (Bourne Identity, How to Train Your Dragon) with director John Woo, with whom he first collaborated on Face/Off. This deluxe edition almost doubles the original 2003 release, with unreleased materials raising the album length from 48 minutes to over 95 minutes.

Marco Beltrami – Knowing: Deluxe Edition
Knowing was a hit for Nick Cage in 2009, aided by Marco Beltrami’s suspenseful, terrifying, pulse-pounding and action-packed score, which was recorded with a large orchestra. This deluxe edition nearly doubles the program’s length, expanding from 22 to 54 cues.

SEPTEMBER 24 RELEASES
Basil Poledouris – On Deadly Ground: Deluxe Edition
On Deadly Ground is one of Basil Poledouris’ greatest action scores. The original 30-minute soundtrack has been expanded to 79 minutes.

Basil Poledouris – Under Siege 2: Dark Territory: Deluxe Edition
Basil Poledouris’ epic score for Under Siege 2: Dark Territory clocked in at 28 minutes upon its original release in 1995. This deluxe edition has an expanded running time of 75 minutes.

Basil Poledouris – RoboCop 3: Deluxe Edition
Director Paul Verhoeven’s original RoboCop (1987) featured one of Basil Poledouris’ most famous themes and beloved scores. Though he wasn’t on board for Irvin Kershner’s 1990 sequel RoboCop 2, Basil did return for the third installment of the hit franchise with director Fred Dekker’s RoboCop 3 in 1993.

Varèse Sarabande is one of the leading and most prolific producers of film and television soundtracks. The label was formed as a merger between Varèse International Records (named for composer Edgar Varèse) and Sarabande Records (named after a musical dance form). The label’s iconic logo – a frequent curiosity of fans around the globe -is actually an inkblot created by blowing a straw on a piece of paper with India ink.

Initially a classical label, Varèse Sarabande released its first album of film music in June 1978. Since then, Varèse Sarabande has released thousands of soundtracks and new recordings of classic film scores conducted by celebrated composers with the world’s best-known orchestras.

The label upped the ante for fans by creating the Varèse Sarabande CD Club—releasing exclusive limited-edition deluxe soundtracks featuring rare and long-requested titles. The CD Club ran initially from 1989–92 and was restarted in 2001, and Varèse continues to create Deluxe Editions of cherished scores that might otherwise never see a release.

Since joining Concord in 2018, Varèse Sarabande continues to release new television and film scores, high-quality vinyl and Deluxe Edition soundtracks.
