Kino Lorber and Zeitgeist Films: "Harold and Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story" [Blu-ray and DVD]

Kino Lorber and Zeitgeist Films are proud to announce the Blu-ray and DVD release of Harold and Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story, the critically-acclaimed documentary from Oscar®-nominated director Daniel Raim (The Man on Lincoln's Nose) and executive producer Danny DeVito. Harold and Lillian tells the story of husband-and-wife team Harold and Lillian Michelson, who brought their talents as storyboard artist and film researcher, respectively, to numerous Hollywood classics including The Ten Commandments, Ben-Hur, and The Graduate, and working with such master filmmakers as Hitchcock, Spielberg, and Kubrick.

Named as a New York Times Critic's Pick and chosen as an Official Selection of Cannes Classics and Doc NYC, Harold and Lillian explores the couples' lives and work, weaving together stories about both their personal and professional lives to present an intimate, moving portrait of an enduring marriage and the immense talents that the Michelsons contributed to so many films that have become beloved classics.

Movie fans know the work of Harold and Lillian, even if they don't recognize the names. Working largely uncredited in the Hollywood system, storyboard artist Harold and film researcher Lillian left an indelible mark on classics by Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, Mel Brooks, Stanley Kubrick, Roman Polanski and many more.

Through an engaging mix of love letters, film clips, and candid conversations with Harold and Lillian, Danny DeVito, Mel Brooks, Francis Ford Coppola and others, this deeply engaging documentary from Academy Award®-nominated director Daniel Raim offers both a moving portrait of a marriage and a celebration of the unknown talents that help shape the films we love.
