Aegean Entertainment has just released the original motion picture soundtrack for ‘Cliffs of Freedom’ with original music by George Kallis – recipient of the 2018 Breakthrough Composer of the Year with the IFMCA. Inspired by historical events, ‘Cliffs of Freedom’ is a timeless and romantic story of bravery and faith between a Greek village girl and a Turkish Ottoman Colonel during the dawn of the Greek War for Independence. The film was released in the United States on March 1st, 2019 with the soundtrack following on March 3rd. A CD release with extended liner notes will be available shortly.
Kallis, of Greek-origin himself, was able to bring his heritage musically to the screen by returning to his roots using Greek instruments and rhythms with the orchestra and choral template. The soundtrack finishes with the end title song “I’ll Wait For You” written by George Kallis and producer Marianne Metropoulos – performed by Ariana George.
