Award-winning composer and music producer Tom Salta (Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo: Spartan Strike, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo 2: Anniversary soundtracks) scores Halo: The Fall of Reach, a new animated series set in the Halo universe. Released today on Blu-ray/DVD, the animated sci-fi epic is also included with the Digital Deluxe Edition, Limited Edition and Limited Collector's Edition of Halo 5: Guardians and can be viewed via The Halo Channel. The animated series original soundtrack will be available for digital download on iTunes, Microsoft Movies & TV, and all other digital music services on December 4.
Halo: The Fall of Reach tells the dramatic tale of the origin and intrigue behind the Spartan program that propelled characters like Master Chief and Dr. Catherine Halsey into the pantheon of Halo lore. The story reveals the events that brought the Master Chief and Blue Team together, including their Spartan training and the daring mission to strike back at the Covenant during the first days of the deadly alien invasion.
His third solo outing in the iconic sci-fi franchise, Salta's score for Halo: The Fall of Reach supports the origin story of the Master Chief and expands the legacy sound of the series with new themes while complementing Halo's musical blueprint of ethereal choral arrangements (including performances from the Keystone State Boy-choir and members of the New York Film Chorale), piano motifs, synth ambiance and sweeping sci-fi orchestral compositions. Sample tracks can be streamed at [CLICK HERE].
Furthermore, Salta composed, arranged and produced the first original pop song in the franchise's history, "Take This Life", featuring Jillian Aversa (Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary) on vocals and lyrics written by Frank O'Connor, Franchise Development Director of the Halo franchise. The song is available exclusively on Halo: The Fall of Reach's soundtrack.

Told in three connected acts, Halo: The Fall of Reach is an animated adaptation of the beloved Eric Nylund novel of the same name, and in many ways the origin story of the Master Chief and Blue Team. The animation is produced and directed by SEQUENCE, the award-winning Vancouver-based animation studio responsible for the Terminals featured in Halo 4 and Halo 2: Anniversary, and this marks their most ambitious and high-fidelity Halo animation to date.
