BEAR McCREARY Celebrates Release of "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" Scores on Streaming Services & New Live Album "SO SAY WE ALL: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" (LIVE)

Emmy® and BAFTA award-winning composer Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Godzilla: King of the Monsters), is celebrating the release of his iconic scores to the four seasons of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series, that ran on the Sci Fi Channel from 2004-2009. Soundtracks for all four seasons have been digitally remastered and will be available on music streaming services for the very first time. McCreary will simultaneously release a live album, So Say We All: Battlestar Galactica Live. The 13-track album of fan favorites spans all seasons of the series, and was recorded at performances in various venues in North America and Europe.

All five albums will be available June 4 from Sparks & Shadows, and a limited number of signed CD copies of So Say We All will be available exclusively via La-La Land Records on June 8.

In addition, McCreary has launched a new website featuring a noted blog detailing the composer’s thoughts and observations on process and detailed examinations of scores for Battlestar Galactica, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Walking Dead, God of War, Outlander and many more—check it out at: BearMcCreary.com.

Says McCreary: “During the second season of Battlestar Galactica, I thought it would be fun to gather musicians at a local club and play some cues from the soundtrack live for friends. These concerts became a yearly tradition and grew as rapidly along with the show’s popularity. Before long, we were playing regular shows around Southern California and were summoned to perform in Europe. Fans traveled from around the world just to experience the score to their favorite science fiction series live in an energetic rock concert setting. Fans have been asking for years when they can hear recordings from our concerts, and I’m thrilled to say that time is now. So say we all!”

Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning composer Bear McCreary was first launched into pop culture with his groundbreaking score to the hit series Battlestar Galactica, lauded by Variety as “the most innovative music on TV today.” Io9.com ranked McCreary one of the Ten Best Science Fiction Composers of All Time, and he has twice been awarded ASCAP Composer of the Year by his peers.

McCreary’s recent projects include Universal Pictures/Blumhouse Productions’ Freaky; Netflix’s acclaimed documentary Crip Camp, produced by Barack and Michelle Obama; Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla: King of the Monsters; Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot’s 10 Cloverfield Lane; Orion Pictures’ Child’s Play; Netflix’s hit animated film, Animal Crackers; Sony/STARZ hit TV series, Outlander; AMC’s The Walking Dead; Disney’s Marvels’ Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; Vertical Entertainment’s The Professor and the Madman; and the Sony PlayStation blockbuster video game God of War, for which he received a BAFTA® Award.
