Lakeshore Records: "FALSE POSITIVE" music by Lucy Railton and Yair Elazar Glotman

Lakeshore Records is set to release the soundtrack for False Positive the Hulu Original film from A24 directed by John Lee and starring Ilana Glazer, Justin Theroux and Pierce Brosnan.  The score by Lucy Railton and Yair Elazar Glotman (additional music for Mandy), provides an ominous yet luminescent backdrop to the psychological thriller. The album will be available digitally June 25 and the film will stream exclusively on Hulu beginning June 25.

After months of trying and failing to get pregnant, Lucy (Ilana Glazer) and Adrian (Justin Theroux) finally find their dream fertility doctor in the illustrious Dr. Hindle (Pierce Brosnan). But after becoming pregnant, Lucy begins to notice something sinister through Hindle’s gleaming charm, and she sets out to uncover the unsettling truth about him, and her own “birth story.” As if getting pregnant weren’t complicated enough…

Says Railton and Glotman: “The film goes through a lot of dramatic shifts so we had the chance to indulge in many areas of music making we both love, from its glistening, hallucinatory scenes to the more dirty and twisted horror that unfolds. As collaborators it was great to be able to draw on our different strengths as musicians and also to have the freedom to score a soundtrack that pulls elements from some our own solo work. In ‘False Positive’ our own playing is featured throughout the score, utilizing our weapons of choice, cello and double bass, modular synths, tape machines and vintage keyboards.  It was a very special project for us!”
