Die Hard 2: Die Harder - The Deluxe Edition 2Cd
Music by Michael Kamen
Limited Edition of 3000 copies

We are thrilled to offer this 2-CD Deluxe Edition of one of Michael Kamen’s action masterpieces – Die Hard 2: Die Harder.  We are on the cusp of beginning our 35th anniversary celebrations for 2013 but thought we’d get the party started early with this special release of a Kamen classic. A more-varied and free-handed score than the first Die Hard, Michael Kamen pulled out all the stops and went for it.  He even threw in a fabulous ode to Sibelius by incorporating the thrilling Finlandia.

The Red Pony
Music by Jerry Goldsmith
Limited Edition of 3000 copies

The Red Pony, which aired on NBC on Sunday, March 18, 1973, was based on John Steinbeck's short stories about a 12-year-old boy growing up on a ranch in California's Salinas Valley during the early years of the 20th century. His stern father gives him a pony, and he learns some hard lessons about life and death in the months to come.  The cast included none other than Henry Fonda and Maureen O’Hara, with Clint Howard as the young boy.  The production was acclaimed.   Fonda was especially pleased with the project (which was nominated for eight Emmy Awards) and said at the time, “Of all [Steinbeck's] works, and I’ve read everything he’s ever done, I think I like The Red Pony best. It’s a classic.”

Enemy Mine: The Deluxe Edition
Music by Maurice Jarre
Limited Edition of 1500 copies

Maurice Jarre’s acclaimed score for Enemy Mine is a work of two distinct personalities.  Just when you think you're listening to a challenging, exotic and endlessly creative score for an entirely electronic ensemble,  Jarre strikes up the band, delivering a powerful and sweeping orchestral work.  Together, the two halves make for one of Maurice Jarre's most powerful scores of the period.

The Boy Who Could Fly
Music by Bruce Broughton
Limited Edition of 1000 copies

One of Bruce Broughton’s very best and most-loved scores, The Boy Who Could Fly is beautiful, soaring film music magic!  This is also the music that has greeted theatergoers before every screen at Disney’s El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.

Man On Fire
Music by John Scott
Limited Edition of 1000 copies

This classic John Scott score from 1987 returns in the Varèse Encore series.  The score features a justly famous main theme which is unquestionably one of Scott’s best.  The unusual thing here though is that its fame is largely due to it's appearance in another movie entirely.  The resolution and embrace between John and Holly McClane at the end of Die Hard … that’s John Scott’s Man On Fire.  Sweeping and lush.  Other parts of the score – much more intense.  Remastered and available for the first time in over two decades !
